Will my EPD be affected by the new GPI version?

The new version of GPI does not affect the validity of existing PCRs and published EPDs  they will remain published with the same validity period.

Maintenance and updates of EPD?

​

Maintenance and updates of EPDs during their validity is based on the same version of the PCR and GPI that was used for the verification of the current valid EPD. If there are reasons for significant updates then a new PCR and GPI versions can be considered and followed.

23.09.2025 - Minor editorial updates have been done in addition to summary from above document, consisting of:
- Clarification of mandatory use of cPCRs*

- Updated Annex I of PCR 1.2 with real examples of EN standards and relevant cPCRs

- Requirements on dual compliance between EN 15804+A2, ISO 21930 and EN 50693

*Note that other PCRs or cPCRs can be used  in addition to PCR1.2 especially if that is relevant for specific region or industry, this is in line with ISO 14025. If used those should be clearly stated in bibliography section of EPD.
